Aesphonly Framed 1 to 20

I found these drawings yesterday while clearing out the attic. They're incorrectly labelled as monoprints. I must have made them last year before leaving for Thailand and forgot to process them. Back in the days when I used to sign my work. There's a lot of other drawings and paintings up there that can also be photo'd, videoed and uploaded before going on to the Free Art Frees Art pile. Hand rolled drawings on A4 size office paper 80gsm, PVA glued to cardboard. Made by directly rolling ink onto the paper and stamping the letters. The red letters on the frame are individually hand stamped with Caligo Napthol Red oil based but water soluble printing inks. The backs have pages from the booklet I give out at The Camden Market Free Art Man. The series is titled Aesphonly Framed. Aesphonly is an amalgamtion word of Aesthetic and Phonetic Only.

I started making Aesphonly images during covid lockdown around six years ago. Arrangments of letters and words in whatever order looks good, irrespective of their meanings and sounds. So far there's 20 Aesphonly framed.

The video and photos are done in my front garden. Usually I wait for the morning blue light to go but I'm in a rush today as am supposed to leave for Billy's in Chatham at 10 o'clock, which isn't going to happen, and won't be back till it's too dark.
