The Camden Market Free Art Man 1st May 2026
Yesterday at The Camden Market Free Art Man was the last rain free day of the week, according to this morning's forecast. So no Camden this weekend, although it's a bank holiday three dayer with a possibility of no rain Monday. If so, I'll skip going to Billy's and try to make up for losing Saturday and Sunday to bad weather. The meet up scheduled for today at the beginning of the video above is therefore not happening. I hope he doesn't show up, as we agreed to exchange CD's of each others music and for him to play guitar next to my display. I said I wouldn't be there if it's forecast to rain, but should have made it clearer. I can't risk taking my paintings to Camden on rainy days as they're covered in water-soluble PVA glue so would get ruined and stuck to each other. Not just the ones in my laundry bag, but any passer by who took one might end up having their painting ruined and glue all over their clothes and other Camden purchases. Rain is Camden Kryptonite. Here's Alan the Camden Market Town Crier yesterday holding up the Union Jack and advert for Kozmic Records:
Alan has a summer cold so couldn't shout his usual messages to the locals. He still rounded up a lot of people for photographs and directed them to the other parts of the market, including Kozmic Records. The owner of Kozmic Records stop by my display yesterday for the first time in ages. I showed him the Kozmic Records Blond Card, which he said is "Cool as f***". I'll make some more today and do some bigger ones as they are by far the most popular artwork I've brought to Camden so far. Here's the Blond Card:
Alan gave me another piece of good advice yesterday, have the poster at the top of my display. It was his idea to do the flags and use the sides of the bridge to put my adverts. If I was making any money I'd have him on commission. I'll also be drawing at Camden from now on as the plinth can be used as a table top if I'm sitting up above the suitcase. It only took me two years to notice this and should make being there a lot more productive than just doing the video interviews. If it's safe enough, I'd like to paint there as well but will just start with small drawings for now. Spot the Blurt and Steemit artworks. Ecency ones in production:
Ron Throop @ronthroop and @offgridlife getting some good promotion on the Blurt and Steemit Blond Cards. Makwafilms has one with more coming soon. Anarchy for Art pink text paintings are also proving popular, unlike the A4 Anarchy for Art ones that no one's taken yet.
The main thing to take from yesterday is the CD's. I'll do some artwork for my Studious album and take them down there next week. It may interest people in upgrading to the deluxe edition.
Awesome … so much great Art
Fun to see Steemit / @offgridlife travelling around the World like that
Yes, very cool. Thanks for starting the greatest art movement/philosophy of the modern age!
Right on, he took a Ron!
Two Orios in the world! Who knew?
Nice set up for drawing.
