I'm glad to have finished this potrait of the highly talented Kortney Jamaal Pollard a.k.a Mali Music. This piece posed a different challenge as it was my first time both working only with charcoals and using alabaster paper. I can proudly say it is one of my best so far. As a result of the amazing turnout, I'm surely going to work with this combination many more times. The reference photo is the cover of my favorite of his albums, "Mali is...".

As I have mentioned here before, I'm only compelled to draw celebrities that affect my life positively with beautiful content (usually music) and Kortney's music sure gets me in the zone to draw!
