Thanks! It really is amazing, isn't it?! The thing that impressed me the most was seeing just how realistic the marble looks! Then, there are the reflections...
But a lot of it is still very much dependent on finding good pictures - at least for me, whose actual artistic skills are a little bit lacking. There's no way I could have drawn (by hand or by machine) any of those things!

Hi. I'm glad you liked the work. I spent a large part of two days on this project.
Set construction took an hour or two, I would guess. Dealing with the lighting took quite a bit longer, partly because a test render had to be done for each attempt... Sometimes 5 minutes before I could even see if it was going to work.
I did full renders four times this time. The first one (before I started really working on the signs) was fairly short, but once I got the lit signs working, it was about 2 hours per render! (I meant to say that in the article, but forgot.)

have you learned all this from self-taught?
I've used tutorials, experimentation and various websites to learn how to use this program. I learn by messing up and then looking for answers. :-)
