Yes I guess the Island is not mentioned in history classes. It played a big role in the battle of the Pacific. Philippine and American soldiers fighting together like brothers against a common enemy. The soldiers who were captured here were taken and forced to march 70 miles. Known as the "The Bataan Death March". The atrocities has taken shape in the form or paintings and artworks.
