Normally I wouldn't expect an IPA to be much of anything after 1.5yrs in the bottle, even a good one. They do tend to be gushers after that long though. I still have cases of bottles from some of my beers from 5 or 8 years ago. Not sure I want to try them...
I'd say drink them...what's the worst than can happen, maybe you have to tip them down the sink, but maybe you've created aged beer brilliance.
