Daily Bird Photos - No. 9 ~ Fun With Water ~

in #birds8 years ago

I've mentioned before that I am not a traditional bird photographer. I think birds are wonderful subjects but I don't claim to have much knowledge about them. I do try to learn more as I go along, but my main interests lie in making artistic images.

Birds in flight are my favourite subject. Throw in some water and reflections and I'm a happy man!

and finally, sometimes the bird isn't there at all.

The bird is merely implied...

Amazing how you were able to catch these moments. Especially the last picture. Great job!

Thanks very much!

Those photos really are something else... and the end was just mind-blowing, the detail of that feather in slowly falling in the middle of the air... it feels like you are seeing a movie, not static photographs. Truly magnificent.

Thanks for sharing, best regards.

I'm so happy you liked these shots! The feather falling was a such as lucky shot, I still can't believe it. Not likely to have that happen again! Thanks very much for the lovely comment and the curation, I greatly appreciate it!

Looks like you are pretty good at that though :) Stunning shots!

Thank you very much, I'm happy you liked the pics!

Totally love ''Skimming the water and Heron tiptoe''
Especially love the single floating feather!!
Very awesome!!

Thank you @shasta! The floating feather was such a fluke shot, I was really happy with it. Not quite in focus but almost there... I've seen feathers fall before, but never in time to get a shot :)

These are really great shots. You have caught them all at the perfect second.

The "implied" photo of the feather wafting down made me grin.

Thanks very much, I'm happy you liked these shots! :)

I would be happy man/woman too with these images, wow!!! Outstanding photography Keith!!! Well, I admire all your work; it always blows my mind!!

Ah, thank you Lena! You're too kind :) I always appreciate your comments and support very much!

Always a pleasure Keith 😊

Oh, walking on water has always been my dream! What a cool shot! I can't decide which I love better, the implied bird or JC walking on water.

Admittedly, any of your shots peg my meter. Great photography! Thanks for sharing it!

Tip!

Thank you, Denise! Isn't it cool how that bird was literally walking on water? I saw this again recently, another bird doing the same thing. Might have been a goose... They use the tips of their wings and toes to stay just exactly at the surface. Talk about flying under the radar! Thanks so much for the tip!

You are always such a pleasure, Keith.
