Birds Of Prey
Recently I visited a wild life reservoir which had many different birds of prey. It was the first time that I saw these birds at such a close range. Obviously, there is always a mixed feeling seeing birds locked up, but I could see that they were treated very well. In total there were at least 40-50 different birds which all stood on several wood stumps placed along a road. The big highlight was the bird show in which they showed off the biggest birds. Interestingly, they were let go freely and the birds always returned. I guess that means they are some what domesticated? I guess it helps receiving a small chick for every round of flight.
We were lucky to stand at the exact right spot where one of the trainers was standing and received the birds on the flight back to her. For that reason I managed to get some pretty good shots

I love how you got up close and personal with the birds of prey, that must have been an exhilarating experience! Did you find that their behavior changed at all when they were in flight or when they returned to the trainers? 📸🐦👏
