Whereas I think blockchain based technologies may be the wave of the future, it seems no system doesn't have its drawbacks... but doesn't that just depend on one's perspective? With the blockchain, everything is recorded and technically speaking transparent... but I am sure there are those (including privacy fiends) who wouldn't consider that a good thing.

If we look at how the technology is being abused now in terms of cell phone and other on line mass surveillance capabilities we can be sure that the block chain will be abused as well.
By far the most disturbing part of the video for me, was the proposal of creating Oracles who have the power to edit the BlockChain! This is completely unacceptable, we must put stop to certain sectors Secretly Funding Wars as their Personal Business Ventures.
