View from an abandoned building - and a holiday I'll never forget

The building is called the Zechenhaus in Alte Piccardie, a village (well, a street with a few farms) in northern Germany, just across the Dutch border. A Zechenhaus or Huthaus is a typically German type of building: a boarding house for mine workers. In this case, it was used to house oil workers in the middle of nowhere, from 1949 to the 1960s.
