Is Life Really Getting Worse?
Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well.
Lately, I've been hearing the same thing from different people: "Life was much better ten years ago." Whether it's about rising prices, AI, jobs, or politics, many people feel that the world is getting worse every day.
It made me stop and think.
Is life really becoming worse, or are we just surrounded by more negativity than ever before?
Years ago, people only knew about problems happening around them. Today, our phones bring us bad news from every corner of the world within seconds. After reading so much negativity every day, it's easy to believe that everything is falling apart.
Another thing is nostalgia.
We often remember the beautiful moments of the past and forget the struggles we faced at that time. That's why yesterday sometimes looks better than it really was.
I'm not saying today's world is perfect. Every generation has its own challenges. But constantly thinking about things we can't control only makes us more anxious.
Instead, I believe it's better to focus on what we can control—our habits, our mindset, our skills, and the way we treat the people around us.
Final Thoughts
Maybe the world hasn't changed as much as we think.
Maybe the way we see it has changed.
What do you think? Do you believe life is actually getting worse, or are we simply paying more attention to negative things? I'd love to hear your opinion in the comments.
