I've never got into reading Atwood's work. She's not an easy read at all but she has a very keen mind and has researched her work heavily. While she writes of a dystopian society the actions and attitudes in the book are all based on actual facts in regards to the treatment of women over the ages.
A sequel to the Handmaid's Tale is being released in September.

A sequel to the book? That's awesome. I didn't know that. I'll have to brace myself for it haha. I agree Atwood isn't an easy read. I haven't been able to reread the book.
