Rohingya reopens in November: Foreign Secretary

Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque said the repatriation of Rohingya will start in November. He said, hoping that the Rohingyas in Cox's Bazar will be repatriated in mid-November.

He told reporters after the third meeting of Joint Working Group of two countries in the state guest house, Meghna on Tuesday.

Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque led the 15-member delegation of Bangladesh in the meeting. Myanmar's leadership was led by Foreign Secretary Mint Thoye.

Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque said, Rehabilitation is a complex process. But it is possible to repatriate if there is political will. When the repatriation began in mid-November, it will be the first group.
