Ned's Dead Project?
I want to thank @dr-frankenstein for the heads up on this.
Do you recall when @ned mentioned that he had a vision for another interface? This was going to be one that really took the industry by storm. Sadly, due to the circumstances with Steemit Inc, it appears that project is dead.
There were a couple of filings that, perhaps, give us some insight.
Providing a website featuring technology that enables users to earn points for posting content; computer services, namely, providing customized on-line web pages and data feeds featuring user-defined information, which includes blog posts, new media content, other on-line content, and on-line web links to other websites, and providing a search engine based on natural language queries on a global computer network;

The project appears to be called Gather. Both the website and the wallet are now trademarked. It looks like Steemit Inc is the current trademark owner.
This was obviously something that was started months ago by the filing dates.
So was Gather the project that Ned talked about before the financial situation with Steemit Inc came to light? Looking at the trademark filings, it makes sense. The timing certainly lines up.
It appears from the discussions on some of the Discord shows that they are going to focus resources to Steemit.com to improve that sight. Will it include some of what Ned was envisioning with Gather? Or is that idea totally dead?
Then again, this could be for something totally different although the description does read like it is for a social media interface with cryptocurrency integration.
What are your thoughts?
If you found this article informative, please give an upvote and resteem.

That's the tag he used on his posts around that time, so makes sense. Although later he went on to talk about 'destiny' so all a bit confusing. Maybe we'll never know. Intriguing though.

Just one of those things that makes you go hmmm.
You don't think Ned and Dan are working on a new project together? As Dan seems to have gone walkabout from EOS and Github posts
Definitely not.. I heard there was a bit of a falling out between the two a few years ago, although it was amicable.

Apparently the word from gather.com is "coming soon".. Nice catch TM!
Yes the website does say that...the question is how long was it there?

Coming soon began appearing on December 4, 2018. Prior to that the site appeared in variations of the following:

Edit: This is relative to the time that the WaybackMachine bot queried the website.
I usually just throw my tiny upvote on the pile after reading your posts and proceed, nodding to the next article.
I had to pause this time because of the top-notch sleuthing and deduction.
Feels good to have the really smart folks on my feed every day digging into the data and coming up with information to share.
Thanks again man! Time will tell what interface really will come and you can bet he is not done innovating and building his blockchain empire.
Gotta wonder how much that domain name cost. One-common-word dotcom domains don’t often come cheap.

Why do you think that the project is dead?
He announced a projected then said it was off the table when the financial situation became public.
Maybe he powering down and selling steem to start this project. Stinc is far from broke.
Interesting indeed! Incredible to see how Ned is truly a visionary... Not a great communicator or in execution but just shows that the recent changes are a step in the right direction.
