A while ago I included in a included a shot of these revolving doors into the 767 Third Ave building in NYC and in fact at the time I also shared the matching rubbish tines they had and in replies to some comments I said I would get a shot of the building showing more of it and how it was kind of in contrast with the entrance ways

And here is th ehsot i promised to get showing the full building, and seeing it again I guess in some ways the entrance area and those revolving doors do match with the look of the full building.
A tip
Normally I am very careful when bringing the photos off my camera onto my computer, and make sure they are all on my computer before deleting them off my memory card or formatting it.
I say Normally...
Because today I messed it up completely, for the first time this year I went for a walk on the beach and snapped a few shots, most of them 3 Shot HDR images, I got home connected the camera to my pc and selected import, which seemed to go well, but I missed a little box that popped up, due to multitasking on my part, I didn't see the error box pop up and it looked like they had been imported into Lightroom, so I deleted the files off my camera and went on about other things.
and when I came back to look at what I had got, I discovered for some reason only a small portion of the photos had been imported. and no complete sets of the HDR images I took.
A little frustrated but running a disk recovery tool to see if I can recover the photos, if not it was a nice stroll on the beach at least
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Ugh, how frustrating @tattoodjay! I try to be so careful for just that reason. Well, luckily you still live near the beach and can go back again soon. :) Love this building, the style they used is so classic and fun! Great shots
Normally I am so careful, I was trying to do too many things at onc,e but then again thats normal for me, but like you say the beach is close and i will be back there again soon
I've always been a geek for revolving doors. The powered ones scare me a little though. I like to go through at my own pace.
We are the same in that regard I generally try and bypass the powered ones I to like my own pace, Similar with heights I can easily and did climb, build and take down 300+ Feet Communications towers, but do not feel as comfortable going up in Eevators not he outside of buildings with the glass windows
Ugh, dont you just hate it when that happens!! I have done that more than once, and now I double triple check before hitting that delete button!
Lovely shots! Those revolving doors are cool!
Thanks its good to know it snot just me, I normally double and triple check also, but this time I was doing a few things at once and then got called away from my PC and somehow i missed an error message that popped up, funny thing is for some reason only one in three of most of my HDR images came onto the PC, and in most cases it was the +2 Exposure image which you cant do much with onits own, but I did get a few shots I could work with, and at least I got the walk on the beach, :)
Thanks Kindly :)
I did something similar last night. We were doing some astro shots even though it was 100% cloudy the lens picked up a lot of stars using 30 and 8 second exposures. I was surprised we got anything.
I thought that I had uploaded them to the computer and formatted the sd card but the only photo that got copied was that sunset i posted earlier?
How weird? It happens lol
I see what you mean about the curved doors. They are echoed on the curved edges of the building. Nice colour btw.
Well sorry it happenned to you but it does make me feel a little better that I am not the only one making this mistake, this was weird of the HDR image sit only imported the +2 exposure shots in most case, never had that happen before
I am running a second file recovery tool now, the first one had no success, but this one seems to be finding some, fingers crossed I can recover them
Good luck.
