Coinbase Currently Unavailable
I'm very annoyed that Coinbase is currently unavailable at the moment. I was going to transfer my Bitcoin to Coinbase, but I can't because of this. I have heard many others complain about this. Instead of waiting, I'm going to use Xapo.
I've used it before and liked it so I'll see how this goes. I liked Coinbase because you can add cards really easy and transfer to a bank account. I still like Coinbase, but it's very inconvenient, especially for people trading on that site.

Mobile coinbase is up. I just used it.
You need to get on GDAX.com. Its Coinbase's exchange. Coinbase accounts are linked directly to GDAX. GDAX isnt impervious to crashes, but its much more resilient after a crash vs Coinbase.
You can still buy some with the app if you have it. Just the desktop site is down.

Yes I just discovered the same. Annoying, but necessary I guess..
I have been hearing of Coinbase outages a lot recently, i hope they can figure out what the problem is and apply a solution soon.
You do realize that since since steemit is powered by blockchain this post will probably exist forever..... FOREVER.
This is why I tell people who are buying crypto currency off of the exchanges to take their money off of the exchanges immediately and to place their money in a hard wallet( like a Trezor or Ledger Nano) also known as cold storage.
