Could Coinbase support adding new cryptocurrencies such as Ripple?

It is one of the most widely known trading platforms, due to the user-friendly less-markety look. However, during the recent surge of cyber currencies, Coinbase platform had experienced many problems. With just three coins services, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, the platform was out of service for long hours, discontinuing the trade of Litecoin and Ethereum for almost two hours.

Introducing a fourth cyber currency with great growth potential such as Ripple could lead from an almost permanent status of " partially degraded service" to a useless platform, as transaction volumes are expected to blow uncontrollably.

Currently, wire deposits and withdrawals may be delayed by up to 3 business days. Who knows how fast Coinbase's engineers are going to be able to solve the same problems in the future, with the number of traders growing exponentially.
