I really enjoy watching cornfields. At the start of real summer, you can hear and see the movement of the corn as it grows. It might sound like I'm using a metaphor, but I'm being serious.

The story of the Corn Lady comes from Native American legends, and it really caught my imagination when I was a kid.
I first saw a real cornfield when I was in kindergarten. Then, I saw one again when I was in elementary school. But back then, I didn't feel a strong connection to corn.My best memory is from a family trip to a cornfield.

My younger brother and I ran into the field together.
Most of the corn plants were taller than us.I remember feeling a little surprised by how much energy it had.The corn looked so healthy and pretty. We were allowed to pick our favorite ears to take home.
