And She Was Killed...

Many crimes are highlighted and many criminals get punished. But there are many which go unnoticed and criminals end up living freely in society with full dignity and freedom. So today I will talk about one such crime to which the witnesses turned their ears deaf and their eyes blind. This one was noticed by one and all but no-one bothered about that.
A girl hardly 20 years old got pregnant. But it was a crime because she was not married and the boy with whom she got pregnant was of some other caste.

She did this brutal crime at such a young age. This was not a crime, it was a sin. This pregnancy meant defame to her family and defame to the entire village in which she lived.

She was a criminal and a criminal needs to be punished. Hence, she was punished by her elder brother and her own mother. She had to die to wash away that sin. Her fate was decided by her family. Any second thought was not needed. After all they had to wash away that defame. So what if she was their daughter, it did not matter to them. They were ready to take away a life(actually two lives). They made the plan and poisoned her at night.

Everyone round her new the reality but no one uttered a word. The police, the hospital staff, the medical report, the well wishers(neighbors), everyone knew what exactly had happened. But no one retarded.

It happened 5 years back. It was a crime in which criminals were not punished and today they are enjoying their freedom. No one raised any voice. A society of deaf, blind and dumb people.

I think they are die heart fans of Mahatma Gandhi who taught "Bura na dekho, bura na suno, bura na bolo". They took this way too far and interpreted its meaning for their own convenience. They pretended as if they saw nothing and heard nothing. A bunch of assholes, according to them, honor killing is a way out to save their dignity.

This group of assholes contain:

1. The family of that girl- lack of humanity, how can someone kill their own daughter. That brother is really very courageous. He had the balls to poison her own sister. The mother, one who is supposed to protect her children, killed her own daughter.

2. Neighbors- Who turned a blind eye to this crime.

3. Police and the System- They only cared about the bribe they got to close the file.

It's a very small incident compared to all that is happening worldwide. But, if the accused would have punished and police were honest towards their duty, then it was possible that some other similar minded people might have learnt a lesson and some lives could be saved.

But who cares. After all it was a family matter and no one is supposed to poke their nose in their personal matters.

Although, these are the same people who let a thief(who was a woman) go away without calling the police just because she was pregnant. But, they took the life of their own daughter who was pregnant. this hypocrisy has no end. They showed humanity towards a lady who was accused of stealing but they when it came to their own daughter, the entire humanity vanished like salt vanishes in water.
