Are kryptokitties here to stay? Win a FREE kitten
What probably started as an experiment within a dev team has quickly turned into a massively popular game, a genetic simulator (educational), a benchtest for the Etherium network, and a way for regular folks to make money.
Wait, I can hear many of you now, mumbling about how sure... cryptokitties is an entertaining game but it costs to play. Agreed, and there are several pitfalls that can lead to expenses without return. But once you start to view cryptokitty gaming with value goals, the ROI mentality will and should influence your decisions about what kitties to buy, which to sell and which to breed with what other genes.
I'll probably be writing a short guide on how to increase your chances of profiting with cryptokitties and yes, you can make money breeding kittens. But it's not as easy as simply putting 2 kittens in a box and hope the litter turns out royal.
As to the question whether cryptokitties are here to stay: categorically YES.
What we see now is just the very first installment and I am confident we will see an evolution not only of our kitties, but of the game functionality. With that in mind, I for one believe there are multiple benefits to being an early adopter and staying ahead of the pack that may come as the game evolves.

Cats have individual preferences for scratching surfaces and angles. Some are horizontal scratchers while others exercise their claws vertically.

I started also just for fun. Currently I am buying mostly based on the visual aspect of the kitty (and Gen + cool down time of course). If it looks great (nice colours like in your picture) and is affordable, I'll try to get them. Currently it is hard though, low gen kitties are sold very fast.

Thanks for the contest. I bought some kitties yesterday and tried to make profit by breeding, siring, etc but I mostly wasted my time and my ether in failed transactions :D

I've been trying to buy all day with no luck, my funds are limited and the cheaper ones are gone instantly. Lost my transaction fee on a failed attempt ( not very nice ). So If you could get me started, I would be forever gratefull. :-)
