Speaking of cryptocurrency and social media

I am interested in what happens with sether.io.
It is currently in pre-ico, but their goal is to essentially incorporate data mining into ether's smart contracts for companies to use in a multitude of ways.
Seems legit, but not sure I am ready to invest.
