in my experience (i used to program these things), not really.. you can train a bot to be good in datasets past 10 years and it'll still take a little bump in the model to wipe out your bot..

Agreed you can't rely on the bot for your trading. \
However a short bot with low .85% or 1% has been doing well. I'm guessing its the bear market. :)
