Being More Precise About What 'Non-Custodial' Means for an Exchange:
Wanted to write this because I think 'non-custodial' gets used a bit loosely in crypto marketing, including some of what's been said about CCE Cash.
Here's the precise version: every exchange needs a deposit address to receive what you're sending before it can convert and send back the other asset. That's true of any exchange, no-KYC or not, there's no way around it mechanically.
What actually varies between exchanges is whether that turns into a standing balance. On CCE Cash, deposit addresses are single-use and scoped to one transaction, once the swap completes there's no balance left sitting anywhere, no account to come back to. That's meaningfully different from a custodial exchange where funds sit in an ongoing account for as long as you leave them there.
Worth knowing the actual mechanism rather than just repeating the marketing shorthand.
