What Actually Happens When You Swap Crypto Without an Account
Why write this out
Most exchanges describe onboarding in vague terms. No-registration platforms often go further and describe nothing at all, on the assumption that fewer steps means no explanation is needed. That leaves a real question unanswered: what actually happens between clicking exchange and coins arriving?
The sequence
You select the asset you're sending and the one you want to receive, enter an amount, and the other side fills in at the live rate. You choose a rate mode, paste the receiving address you control, and confirm. The system generates a deposit address for that order, you send to it, and once the network confirms your deposit the exchange executes and the output goes to your address.
The rate choice is the real decision
Fixed rate holds the quoted rate for 10 minutes and needs the exact order amount inside that window. Miss it and you're offered a refund or a switch to floating. Floating rate finalises when your deposit confirms, so the amount can move with the market but nothing is racing a clock.
For a first swap, floating is the lower-stress option. For a swap where the exact output matters, fixed is worth the window.
What no account actually means
It means what it says. There's no signup, no email, no password. It also means the order inquiry code issued at the start is your only handle on that order, so it needs saving somewhere before you close the tab.
On custody, worth being precise rather than repeating a slogan: your deposit does go to an address CCE Cash generates for that order. What doesn't exist is a standing balance sitting in an account between transactions.
Verification
An automated risk system screens transactions. Most clear with nothing further. Flagged ones pause for identity verification through SumSub within 3 days, or you can decline and take a refund minus network fee.
