Cymatics Experiments & "Sacred Geometry"
The information that allows humanity to stretch nature's laws and create things that do not readily exist in nature can be considered sacred. Achievements that could only come to fruition through the ingenuity of mankind through geometric perfection... that information is sacred.
"Cymatics" is Greek for "the study of waves." Cymatic patterns were originally discovered by Robert Hooke when he ran a violin bow against glass plates which formed nodal patterns. Those experiments and patterns were popularized as “Chladni patterns”, as they were first published by Ernst Chladni in 1787 in his book “Entdeckungen über die Theorie des Klanges” (Discoveries in the theory of sound). Robert Hooke deserves the proper credit though.
Cymatics affects the way particles distribute on a vibrating surface like glass or metal. The oscillations at a given rate (frequency) also affects the surface of a liquid like water, creating beautiful geometric patterns and topology. Those patterns are exposed by shining light on the surface of the vibrating water. The light will hit the surface of the water to illuminate the nodal points and geometrically arranged convection of the liquid. Those patterns correlate with a given frequency and a given shape and composition surface. A man named Hans Jenny took that work further as well as a man named John Stuart Reid.

Human ingenuity and the human spirit allows for the discovery and fruition of those things using laws of geometry and laws of creation. And by that logic, we could consider that geometry as being sacred. Sacred geometry isn't about platonic solids, and pretty shapes or just anything artsy that’s evenly spaced. It's understanding the harmonic relationship of all the factors in a scenario in order to maximize it to geometric perfection. Achieving outcomes that are not readily found in nature, because it took humans to achieve that optimized state.
Like LASERs. Laser beams do not exist in nature.
Lasers were invented using the laws of nature to geometric perfection. The effects and results lasers achieve can do things that do not exist in nature. Or, they can achieve things that only exist on massive celestial scales or fleeting faster than the subatomic scale. LASERs might be considered "cymatics of resonant light" in a way.

Applying Cymatics to the Machine Shop
I squeezed a ring on the lathe too much and deformed it. I remembered a cymatics video I saw where a droplet of mercury or water was vibrating and oscillating back and forth. Oblate and prolate. Deforming and flip-flopping in between topological changes according to the frequency of vibration. However, as the droplet reaches the half way point in the oscillation, it forms a circle again. As if undisturbed for that brief moment. Like a pendulum swinging back and forth.
So I figured... if I applied x amount of force to the ring to deform it into a triangle shape... and a 3rd harmonic of vibration morphs the sphere into a triangle... then I could just flip the deformed piece 120 degrees and apply the same x amount of force to turn it back into a ring.
It worked.

The camera is situated directly over the vibrating dish of water. There are colored LED lights over the dish as well. The changing topology of the water correlates with a given vibration. The deformation of the meniscus reflects (re-emits) the light to form outstanding geometries. Seeing the still images is impressive enough but watching the vibrations in real-time and slow motion are mesmerizing. All the intricate channels and symmetrical patterns flowing together is something to behold. No CGI, no photoshop, no AI.
It's like Dr. Masaru Emoto’s water crystals under a microscope, But this is on our normal scale and the water doesn’t care what names you call it while the patterns emerge.

Visible cymatics patterns only happen in condensed matter, as a gas can only sustain a longitudinal shockwave. You cannot make cymatics patterns out of a cloud of gas. If you know someone with a powerful stereo system and large subwoofers producing lots of bass, you can see how the smoke from incense or a vape behaves in the strong vibration at a given hertz frequency. The total volume of smoke and air shakes back and forth, but it doesn’t ripple.
Ripples, De Broglie waves and capillary waves only happen in condensed matter liquids and solids. (Despite the gravity waves and magnetohydrodynamics claims.)
If you had a sphere of water in microgravity on the space station and subjected it to strong enough bass vibrations correlating the undulations with the curvature of the sphere, you can induce a 3D cymatic pattern throughout the entire radius of curvature of the volume of water.

The topology will change back and forth at even intervals to oblate and prolate in complex 3D geometric arrangements. On Earth, the gravity flattens out the meniscus of water on small scales, but in microgravity, cymatics works differently since you can see the surface area of the entire sphere of liquid. It might be interesting to find the right size droplets in which their radius of curvature match with a given wavelength. But keeping under ultrasonic ranges if possible.
Celestial Cymatics and Saturn’s Hexagons
Chladni patterns and cymatic patterns are normally associated with vibration and/or topological changes in the surface of a medium. But complex patterns can also arise from a differential of spin and “eddies”. Eddies in fluid mechanics and eddy currents in electromagnetism are two different things but can sometimes result in similar complex geometric patterns. Both eddies and eddy currents and rotating magnetic fields can result in hexagonal patterns, vortexes and geometric arrangements.
The hexagons on Saturn are formed from the difference in rotation between two boundaries of atmosphere moving at different rates. The atmosphere is spinning faster at one point of the sphere than another. It results in eddies, vortex streets and hexagons. Depending on the differential of rotation, septagons can form, pentagons, triangles and other geometric shapes. These shapes have been duplicated in laboratories as shown in this link from planetary.org.

The footage is sped up to show the formation of the pattern over time. The water is in a cylindrical container. The center of the container spins like a lazy susan. The counter-rotation between the concentric base and walls/lid create a differential in spin on the liquid medium in the container. The liquid counter-rotates and spins in on itself at certain points to form vortexes and eddies. The eddies move in a ring around the container which ultimately forms the hexagon and other geometric shapes depending on the relative spin.
A similar phenomenon can be observed on Jupiter as well as Saturn with “vortex streets” of swirls. Showing the path of flow and convection. The rotation of the chamber walls/floor causes the liquid to flow in loops/ a sweeping motion.

A quick side note regarding transverse ripples and “cymatic patterns,” but on the surface of the Sun. Dr. Pierre-Marie Robitaille has provided ample evidence that the ripples observed on the surface of the Sun are due to the presence of condensed matter liquid metallic hydrogen. The branch of Helio-seismology deals with quakes in the Sun. But quakes, like on Earth can only happen in condensed matter liquids and solids. Quakes do not occur in the gaseous atmosphere or the sky.
There have been transverse ripples observed propagating along the surface of the Sun as per images provided by SOHO and NASA. The Sun can ring like a bell due to the resonating of a condensed matter lattice structure.

The vortex street of tornados on Jupiter can form from the different spin forces. Not only the atmosphere in convection and rotation... but also the metallic hydrogen that comprises the majority of the celestial body. The metallic hydrogen flowing in convection generates massive magnetic fields and can induce eddy currents. So it might not just be differential of rotation making up the tornados and hexagon on Saturn and Jupiter, but there might also be a magnetic component as well.
