Every Nurse Is an Educator
Daybook February 22
Nursing education happens everywhere—through relationships that honor novice memory and lifelong learning.
Education in nursing does not live in one place.
It appears wherever nurses share knowledge and support learning—at bedsides, meetings, and in communities.
Remembering that we were once novices keeps teaching humane.
When nurses see themselves as lifelong learners, education becomes a shared journey.
One Line for Nurses and Learners:
Teaching and learning live in every nursing relationship.

I had a tough time adjusting to nights until I tightened up my routine, especially with sleep and caffeine. One thing that helped was checking out advice for working overnight as a nursing assistant, which gave me a few practical tweaks to try. Keeping the same sleep schedule every day and eating something filling before work made a bigger difference than I expected.
