The Problem With DTube - Let's Talk About It.
There is a very clear problem with the future of Steemit and DTube and it's up to us to do something about.
Stop chasing the DTube upvote. The only way this platform will grow is by creating new and fresh content, about a whole range of things.
So much of the content we see on Steemit and DTube right now is all ABOUT Steemit and DTube. That's not the same on other social medias and it's in danger of fizzling out.
Make stuff that YOU'RE passionate about. That's what I'll be doing from now on.
Each day again, making videos about the things I love.

Well judging by that massive 33% Upvote you got from DTube it seems they listened to your feedback, let's see if they actually implement it :P
Completely agree that from the perspective of growing this platform, it must diversify and attract more than just crypto enthusiasts. I will say that I've had some success in getting non-crypto/dtube related posts upvoted and supported by them, so I think they are open to it, but agree it would great to see them expand on that a bit.
Yea, can agree with you here. Also from time to time it seems that @dtube is taking a subjective look at the content here. I am not saying that @dtube is not upvoting good quality videos, but that they are prioritising their favourites. At least it looks like that. They are shaping their own definition of useful quality for this platform - but the meaning behind the decentralisation (D in dtube) should be the other way around. I understand that they personally enjoy other videos more but that should not be the judgment for upvoting something higher or at all.

Ya can feel you!! But i guess it is normal like that. People earn the most online who teach how to earn online :-(. Niches will probably and hopefully fill up soon :-). I am looking forward to for the courages people who will be uploading good content.
I think it's a good idea to diversify topics that are being posted here in steemit. By doing that, we can widen our scope of listeners and interested parties which will be the meat and blood of this platform. Something great and something new is what we need now.
So are you all saying your problem with dtube is its upvote-chasing?
