Monomad Photography Contest - Friday - Flowers
What an interesting challenge, photographing something so brilliantly colour and then switching to black and white. Its a totally different feel and image.
If anyone out there can tell me what species of plant and flower this is that would be great.
I am loving these contest put on by @monochromes. The keep me motivated to find new ways to be creative. Thank you.

It's so interesting how the removal of color suddenly allows the exotic shape of this flower to take the front seat- very cool idea to shoot this w/o color!
Was it purple? White or pink? It looks like a passion flower to me. It grows on a vine and can get quite prolific. They are grown all over, but do best in the south and west.
I hope this helps. Look it up and see of that helps. Also, I would know if I saw the color version. As an aside, thank you for the generous upvote this morning!
