Good news, looks like we will get Metropolis next month

The future is looking bright for Ethereum, Metropolis looks to be ready next month

It's looking like it will be released on October 9th 2017. Raiden is also in testing and could be released soon as well. IExec also is scheduled to release Version 1 in November. Will Ethereum be able to scale to support it's own growth is the question for 2018 though.

    with all the money and top developers they have behind Ethereum I believe there is no obstacle they can't overcome. I'm invested in EOS, but I believe ETH will still be dominant for a long time and may even surpass BTC in marketcap.

    I totally agree. But I think it could change as soon as EOS is running and users of dapps are not paying for transactions(which also should be much more faster).

    Wait for cosmos, polkadot and also EOS (ethereum competition) is coming. But yes, Ethereum is (now) the next big thing. Everyone is building on top of Ethereum.

    I don`think Steem will ever compete with Ethereum because it is a blockchain for a completely different purpose. It is good for social media platforms(busy.org,steemit.com) and has already the biggest community in the crypto space.
