THE WORD BEING MIXED WITH FAITH

“FOR INDEED THE GOSPEL WAS PREACHED TO US AS WELL AS TO THEM; but the word which they heard did not profit them, NOT BEING MIXED WITH FAITH IN THOSE WHO HEARD IT.”
Hebrews 4:2 (NKJV)

For anyone to derive benefits from the word of God, the word heard must mix with faith in the person.
The effect and impact of the word of God can be undermined through unbelief, if the word does not mix with faith.
If you believe God’s word, you enter His rest. You allow God’s will to be done in your life.
The Israelites of old heard the word of God, the good-news but the word of God they heard did not mix with faith in them.
The word did not mix with faith because they were faith deficient—wanting or minus!

Anxiety or agitation weakens faith. Anxiousness is a product of doubt, and nothing can be received from God through doubt:
6 BUT LET HIM ASK IN FAITH, WITH NO DOUBTING, FOR HE WHO DOUBTS IS LIKE A WAVE OF THE SEA DRIVEN AND TOSSED BY THE WIND. 7 FOR LET NOT THAT MAN SUPPOSE THAT HE WILL RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM THE LORD" (James 1:6,7 NKJV).

6 BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, WITH THANKSGIVING, LET YOUR REQUEST BE MADE KNOWN TO GOD;
7 AND PEACE OF GOD, WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.”
Philippians 4:6,7 (NKJV).

Dependability on the integrity of the word of God is the rest we are called to enter as believers in Christ (Hebrews 4:3).

9 THERE REMAINS THEREFORE A REST FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
10 FOR HE WHO HAS ENTERED HIS REST HAS HIMSELF ALSO CEASED FROM HIS WORKS AS GOD DID FROM HIS.
11 LET US THEREFORE BE DILIGENT TO ENTER THAT REST, LEST ANYONE FALL ACCORDING TO SAME EXAMPLE OF DISOBEDIENCE.”
Hebrews 4:9-11 (NKJV)

The Word of God can be fully relied on. It is absolutely dependable!
Thus, put your worries and doubts aside and allow God's will to be done in your life.

You will not fail in Jesus’ name. Peace.
