That's terrible. It's too bad more people don't stand up, but I can see why they'd be afraid. It sounds like some true reform is needed.

There are a lot of good people that are working really hard to make the changes from within. Sounds cheesy but it really is true. Stories like this help to point it out to those within that weren't aware of what was happening. Hopefully, now people know!
Folks don't complain or come forward because they're freelance and get hired on the success of their last gig. Unions are only a partial answer.... I feel like state labor boards need to get involved. Even that's a double edged sword.... between union benefits costs and state working regulations companies go out of the country to find cheaper labor. It's a vicious cycle :(
