How fitness and Wellness routines have helped me
We always admire people who do regular work outs, look fit and healthy, have a lean body, and then also wish that I could be that way. And the answer is anyone can be that way. The only thing required is discipline, which we lack the most and hence we see majority of people not being able to achieve their fitness goals. The start happens with a lot of enthusiasm but then down the line the enthusiasm starts going down.
For many years my weight has been constant, and a lot of people say that I am lucky with it. But the fact is no one sees the effort that goes behind it. How is it possible for some one to be at one constant weight like forever. It is something that the person is doing to manage it that way. I will not say that I am an intense work out person or extremely flexible. I may be far from it, but one thing I am very strict about is that I have to work out and maintain my diet. I have to monitor my health not regularly but daily. It is a big task. I need to monitor my calorie intake on daily basis. If some days it goes up, then the work out also has to be accordingly and the other days of the week has to balance it out. Yoga, Gym, Walking are all part of my fitness routine. Nowadays I also go for Zumba. Some days the work out is intense and some days it is easy going. The key point is that the body must keep moving. The only thing I fall short in my wellness routine is my sleep pattern. I am a late sleeper and a late riser. This is something that is not good.
In the early years of life, we do not realize the importance of it, but the fact is that the care has to start from that time itself, only then we can see the results of it in our late adulthood and old age life. Years of following my fitness and wellness routines are now showing up to me in the form of very good health, no obesity, no medications, no diseases where I have to take regular medicines, good skin, healthy hair and most important always feeling very energetic and in a positive frame of mind. When the body is healthy the mind also functions well. The quality of life is much better with a healthy body.

I really enjoyed reading your post. You have beautifully highlighted that fitness and healthy living are not just a matter of will, but the result of regular practice and self-control. Your experience especially about calorie control, regular exercise, and a healthy lifestyle is inspiring to many. Your self-criticism about sleep also seemed realistic. I hope you will share such beautiful and awareness-raising posts with us in the future. I wish you good health and success.
