Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few of the flowers in Haskell Gardens
Today, I will share a few shots from a visit to Haskell Gardens here in New Bedford, MA.
These were taken on the recent photo walk with a group called the Fall River New Bedford Artists collaborative, and I both had fun and got plenty of cool shots, including these, which I will share today
But first, a little bit about the gardens
The late Allen C. Haskell, a lifelong New Bedford resident and famed horticulturist, assembled these six acres—the site of a traditional New England-style common, beautiful historic gardens, and one of the oldest homes in the city—over more than 30 years. Today, it’s a public park and an unlikely botanical respite, blooming in the heart of New Bedford.
Its is now managed by a group called the Trustees who manage a few parks and sights in the area.
Since its a post for both Sublime and beautiful Sunday, I thought some lovely flowers would fit well
Now I am no expert of flowers but I do believe this lovely flower is a Rhododendron, but I could well be wrong, feel free to correct me if that's the case
