People in the USA sometimes pay over $1000 for a pair of “fancy” slippers. It makes no sense to me. Still, even “cheap” slippers cost over $30. Maybe some places will sell for under $10 if we are lucky.

Yes, be very thankful. I am thankful for many things about my home, the prices of everyday items is not one of the things I am thankful for though.
