RE: Hop Shoots - The Other Hop Crop! - 5 ways to Eat Hop Shoots

in #food9 years ago

Thanks! I'm not a food photographer. I cook to eat and it seems like I'm always in a hurry to eat my food, lol!

Portugal probably focuses more on wine grapes, eh? Our climate here in Oregon's Willamette Valley is really dry in the summer and wet in the winter. So maybe they would do alright in some places. They are an interesting plant!

You don't have to be, I can tell it is tasty. And always something nice to drink and little desert :) I like that!

Yes, lots of grapes growing around and the wine is good and not expensive here.
They do make beer here as well, so they must use hops I guess... Maybe they grow it somewhere up north. It is cooler there

Aww, thanks. I always wonder if people notice the other things on my tray, lol. If you grow hops, you could start a big trend! :D

I notice :)
I don't have where to grow them...

You need to do the opposite of @andre-ager. They transplanted a wild hops from down the road. I guess you need to plant some as 'wild ones' in an ignored area down the road. It's the opposite of your tiny garden -- it's your giant garden! ; )

Hahaha that is a cheeky plan! :D

Cheeky and Sneeky! ; )
