Buttermilk pancakes made from scratch

Ever wanted to know how to make pancakes without using a store bought box? Here is a great easy recipe for buttermilk pancakes, enjoy!

What you will need:

1 1/2 cups flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 egg
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

  2. Add milk, buttermilk, egg, vanilla and melted butter; mix until smooth.

  3. In a medium heated pan or griddle pour 1/4 cup mix in and brown cakes on both sides, serve hot with your favorite syrup or toppings!
