This photo was taken during my visit in Tropical Fruit World in Australia. This is the largest tropical fruit! A ripe jackfruit is sweet and tastes like chewing gum 😃 But immature jackfruit is a vegetable and ...has a taste and texture of meat! We can fry it.
Today I prepared delicious vegan dinner with jackfruit. I used it in the canon version.

Yes I know this fruit, Its so familiar in My area, The youth one usually used as the Vegetables. Jackfruit or well know as Nangka in Indonesia.

Yes, it is available in our local market but never bought it. It is not much popular in north India as popular in south India. During my south India visit, I tasted wafers made of Jackfruit and it was delicious. Looking forward to your Jackfruit recipe!
In Indonesian language we call "Nangka".
I would love to have a recipe for Jackfruit! I see it at the market but haven't worked with it yet! It is a huge fruit! I understand it takes 1 year to mature? Wow!
You can cook it with canned tomatoes or tomato paste, chili powder, onion and garlic ( plus salt and pepper if you desire). It tastes quite delicious:)
