Pear, Cardamom Caramel Cake

The cake itself, fabulous. The caramel, nope, didn't work the way I think it was supposed to. The flavour combo, yes. The half pears, nope, too big, even if I like pears, it's too much on a cake. Butter dripped all over the oven for a bit, cookie sheet stopped that.
