Describing introspection is by no means an easy task for anyone, especially from the third person's point of view.
Kudos for accomplishing that feat so well.
It enables your readers to comfortably empathize and identify - sans the usual mental hoop-jumping that's required for lesser prose.
No mental gymnastics required. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the story.
That's "Reader's Nirvana" and the "Wordsmith's Holy Grail" all rolled up into one, no?
My readers?
Picture a bunch of indigent transients hallucinating that they're forever stepping on lawn rakes!

Thank you for your kind comment @jaichai! I've written lots of poetry over the years, but I just recently started writing fictional short stories, and I'm loving it! I never had an interest in writing prose prior to joining steemit, which makes me even more glad that I did!
