@lordvader awesome post, maybe one should try to build a galaxy not a Moon Base. Then use it as a tourist trap, to gain new bone heads in your service, and the revenue from all those tourists might count for something as well.
Perhaps something like this...
I hear you might have space for such a project in Florida and California...
