Pleasure of gifting

Every time I travel, I make it a point to buy some goodies and souvenirs for my family and my close friends. I feel joy doing this, I feel like somewhere I am making them a part of my travel. Giving them something from the land I have visited will create a lifelong memory for them as well along with me. My sisters especially they like when I get things for them. They do not travel much so they always say that when you bring things for us it somewhere makes them also connected to that place.

My favorite souvenir item is a magnet. Every place I visit I make it a point to buy a magnet of that place, for self and for my sisters also. This time during my holiday in Japan, I could not shop much, it was only on the last day at the airport duty free that I manage to pick up a few things. My Son keeps telling me, we were on a marathon trip...haha.

Last few days one of my sisters came to visit me and she stayed with me for few days. Yesterday she returned back, along with her I sent goodies for all my other siblings also. They all stay in one city; I am the only one who is away from all of them. But we make it a point to meet every few months and spend time together.

I enjoy giving gifts more than receiving them, especially if they are not meaningful then I do not like to get them.
