Sunsets in the Juan De Fuca Strait with Killer Whales

My favourite time of the year to be on the water near Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island is in September/Fall. The best time of the day to be on the water is during either sunrise or sunset. Being that I more of a night person, getting up for sunrise is somewhat of a challenge. However, sunsets are amazing - especially when all the stars align and you end up with moments like the one below.

If i can get myself up early enough, i like the light of the early morning best. But who can argue with sunset photography?

true that!

sunsets are always beautiful , would love to go whale watching, looks like you enjoyed yourself

That is an amazing photo. I had the opportunity to take photos of humpback whales. Magical experience. Take a look at my photo from Lake Ashi, Japan and let me know what you think - https://steemit.com/photography/@liquidtravel/sunday-on-lake-ashi-japan.
