Howdy sir ganjafarmer! Yeah I'm going to get that book. I didn't even know the Spanish made it that far North to get into Oregon! I'll see if I can look up Younger-drys.
YouTube has a few Videos about it...
And that book starts to explain what went on. The floods the huge lakes... The impact craters...

And I downloaded the book on audio book... It's awesome. Listening to it now actually.
And yes the Shoshone nation destroyed the Spanish and that would be a killer story for you. And yes they did build a fortress in Oregon in the rape of the America's. They went through and did a huge gold rush and shipped it to Europe.

Yeah the Spanish were about as cold-blooded as you could get. Thanks for the tip on this historic event. The Shoshone defeated the Spanish! lol. I love that part.
Uto aztecan dialect... That's the Shoshone language...
We are related. When the Spanish knocked over the Aztecs It started a 150 year blood feud. Ended when the USA had the Spanish American war. Bleed Spain dry then USA takes them from behind.
Mexico to Canada Oregon and owned the great plains. Rockies were our stronghold.
