A House Burns Down in Cot Meurak Village, Juli, Bireuen.

A fire broke out in Cot Meurak Village, Juli District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, on Saturday (May 2, 2026) at around 9:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.

A wooden house belonging to Muhammad Ali Puteh (53) was completely destroyed by the fire, along with its contents. The cause of the fire is unknown, and there were no casualties.

According to local residents, the fire, whose origins are unknown, suddenly grew and engulfed the house. Upon learning of the fire, residents immediately contacted the Bireuen Regency Fire Department.

Three fire trucks from the Bireuen Main Post and one truck from the Juli Post were deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished after intensive firefighting efforts by officers on the ground.

After extinguishing and cooling the house, officers also cleared the debris from the burned building. In addition to extinguishing the fire, the Bireuen Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Rapid Response Team (TRC) also conducted a rapid assessment and data collection on the impact of the fire, as well as documentation of the incident.

The Disaster Management Operations Control Center (Pusdalops PB) also coordinated and reported to ensure optimal response.

As an emergency response, the Bireuen Regency BPBD TRC team also distributed emergency aid to affected victims.

Currently, conditions at the scene are reported to be safe and under control, while authorities continue to monitor and conduct further investigations into the cause of the fire.

The Bireuen BPBD urges the public to increase their vigilance against potential fires, especially in houses with wooden construction, which are vulnerable to fire.
