Writing || Teaching and Learning is back in action after a long break
Dear friends, admins, and all beloved community moderators. May we always be under His protection!
Teaching and learning activities at schools, especially in our province of Aceh, Indonesia, have now resumed after a long break during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. Starting from the beginning of Ramadan, around February 15, 2026, after the break, classes resumed until March 30, 2026. We and the children enjoyed this break for about a month and a half.
Although teaching and learning activities were on hiatus for over a month, we, the teaching staff, still attended school on duty to complete necessary tasks and administrative duties. However, we did not conduct teaching and learning activities.
Starting Monday, March 30, 2026, two weeks ago, school activities resumed after the long holiday. However, on the first day of school, we didn't hold any teaching activities. We focused solely on providing encouragement and motivation to the children after the long holiday.
Then, on the second day of school, we began reorganizing lesson schedules and other necessary adjustments. This was to revitalize the children's enthusiasm for learning after the recent Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr holidays.
On the first day of school, still in the midst of Eid al-Fitr, all of us, the teaching staff, made sure to visit the homes of important figures at the school, such as the school committee and the school supervisor. We conducted these visits as a way of fostering camaraderie on the blessed day of Eid al-Fitr.
As of today, the school week has been over two weeks. Morning activities and activities continued as usual, including the flag ceremony, morning exercises, the recitation of the Asmaul Husana (Asmaul Husana), and the recitation of Surah Yasin from the Quran on Friday mornings.
Teaching and learning activities have returned to normal, especially for students in their final 6th grade of elementary school, who will face and take their graduation exams at the end of May, which is approximately two months away.
The return to school was also warmly welcomed by the entire school community, especially since our school recently received free nutritious meals from the government, which has made the children even more enthusiastic about coming to school.
Friends, that concludes my presentation for today. I welcome your suggestions and comments. Please forgive me for any errors in this post. Wassalam.
