Leave
He had spent almost two weeks preparing for this day. The screen was on. Everyone was seated in their place, looking at him. Something that supposed to be stressful. Strangely, it was not. He felt ease with putting a point across to the audience. Maybe, it was the panel on his left that gave him the feeling of support at the time. They were supporting what he says when he gives them the mic. Until, one word. One that had changed it all for him. It was when one of the crowd asked him to leave! It was what encouraged others to say the same word.
He re-thought his speech again. His beliefs, political ideas and his visions were all put to question at that time. He was in shock, but it was not visible to others. He was thinking of, how could a word be that strong. Strong enough, to turn all this confidence into uncertainty. It seemed as the whole crowd went on pause, as well as the panel of supporters. As if, everything around gave him a moment to re-think things through. Until, they started to fade out!
The crowd started to disappearing. They did not leave. It was just that, they were vanishing into nowhere. It reached to a moment, where he was left in an empty room with a screen. Then, it disappeared as well. It was all in his mind. A chain of thoughts he had. One led by another, creating a beautiful image. Until, one question that hit the essence of the whole idea. It turned his feeling of certainty into ashes.
