Wasn't this bridge connected to those notorious mandatory "parking fees" run by the mafia, which they abolished due to Schengen entry? But they left other fees that go into someone else's mafia pocket. I'm not surprised by the miserable condition of this bridge. Romania is a more advanced country, but it is probably influenced in criminal schemes by its neighbor - Bulgaria. Besides, the standard there is higher, so the toll there should be higher too. 😁 As absurd as this fee is too. But hey, you don't fall from the sky after all - we are in the Balkans. You leave the wonderful, super corrupt and robbed country and enter its neighbor, companion by fate and history. What can you expect from these two "wonderful" countries? Certainly not just beautiful sunset landscapes, right?
