Just as you describe, I started writing – sorting out my thoughts, sorting myself out. That didn't make me a writer, but it did help me to reflect in a helpful and structured way. Later, the ‘lyrical element’ was added, along with the desire to write beautifully and in a way that others would enjoy reading...

As for your topic – for me personally, multitasking is the root of all evil. I like to do things in a very concentrated and focused way, as any further distraction would be a fatal source of error. I can only ever work on one thing at a time, but then I am both quick and thorough, achieving much more than if I were trying to do too many things at once...
The ‘lyrical element’ , I am struggling with a lot. I read books, but they influence me.
Just writing everyday, surely I'll get there.
