If I was in that position I would be very cold and only talk about work. I would never praise him. Once I saw his lies on social media, I would block him and just laugh. It's petty but that's me being honest 😂
That’s not petty at all. I would definitely be laughing at him, too. In fact, I’d probably turn his drama into a bedtime story for kids. It was annoying, sure, but also hilarious. You’re right not to praise him; if you give him an inch, he’ll talk your ear off.
