Science works whether you believe it or not
There's a reason why I like science so much and wish that we had scienfically found answers to everything. The physical world operates objectively, regardless of any human being's opinion. Before Newton developed the theory of gravity, matter was still being drawn to the earth. Before the study of life, biology was still functioning. In spite of human interpretation, the world functions in an orderly and predictable manner.
Think about how even the scientific method works. Steps are devised to achieve a predictable outcome and controlled observations are made. If the outcome is predicted correctly each and every time, what has been observed is established as scientific fact. This fact is not the product of opinion or subjective judgement.
Of course we can have the results of an experiment disagreed with, but doing so will not change what is objectively true. Reality is not subject to human opinion and dissent. As new evidence comes and we learn about it, a hypothesis should revise. Being responsive to new evidence is a sign of a good, strong hypothesis. It is a sign of science.
Science has a unique philosophy. You should not believe in science, you should test it. You may not believe in the physical world or the science behind it, but it is never going to change because of your disbelief. Bridges and other structures are built with accurate scientific principles and withstand out use, trust or belief.
The philosophy of science is a world built on measurable, repeatable processes and evidence. More importantly, it is not subject to any of our religious belief. It is a reliable, operating system regardless of outside perception.
And if it's working, it doesn't need you or your world view and perception.
